Such are the kinds of Product-Led Content Marketing experiences you’ll be charged with strategizing, directing, and executing with story-driven, product-led content for the target audiences of B2B SaaS and VC companies.

You’ll report directly to VEC’s Founder/Lead Strategist and interface with clients on weekly project syncs over Google Meet. You’ll direct and lead other creatives (designers, editors, writers, and distribution experts) to marshall client accounts and achieve (better if you surpass) outlined project KPIs.

You will embody all that.  

Product-Led Content Marketing Strategists at VEC are autonomous, deep thinkers, and problem-solvers. They get the resources (just ask) to maximize their own growth. You’ll not be mistaken in viewing this role (and VEC) as a conduit for individuals eager to reach their highest potential in an environment that mutually benefits both parties.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  1. Solve tough business problems with narrative-driven content strategy design and thoughtful, executive-level story-driven execution.
  2. Craft a minimum of two (2) story-driven, product-led content pieces weekly, with each piece complete with organic distribution and amplification excerpts. 
  3. Help B2B SaaS & VC companies succeed with Product-Led Storytelling by becoming a trusted partner they turn to. 
  4. Ideate with other VEC Team Leads and creatives on your team to help our clients surpass their business goals. 
  5. Build and own end-to-end Product-Led Content Marketing Strategy. This includes strategy design, execution, and content writing through our unique Product-Led Storytelling approach with help from a designer, editor, and outreach. 
  6. [Items 1-5 unlocks your base salary and core benefits].
  7. Lead, direct, and oversee a 5-people team of creatives on other clients’ projects. No writing here. Just strategic supervision of Product-Led Storytellers, editors, designers, and outreach to achieve clients’ outcomes. [Each account you lead = an additional $1,000 per month).
  8. Maintain and improve existing systems to ensure higher quality workflows and efficiency.
  9. Develop yourself and grow into a leadership position on the team. As a small company, we take this VERY seriously. 
  10. Advance VEC’s brand positioning and frameworks through thought leadership via the lens of our vision and core values. 

  • At least two (2) years of experience strategizing or crafting content for B2B SaaS companies. Bonus points if you’ve previously developed and executed content marketing strategies for such companies yourself.
  • Storytelling skills and the ability to see and create stories from the minutest of places or data points. 
  • We have Grammarly Premium and human editors, but you’ll need to have an eye for editing drafts for strategic alignment.
  • You can put a product at the center of all content marketing executions (i.e., why we have [Product-Led] in your job title).
  • You’re a self-starter, strategic thinker, problem-solver, and knowledge seeker. 
  • Experience working with remote project management tools [we use Plutio, G-Suite, Slack, and others]. 
  • Experience working with content marketing software. [We use Ahrefs, WriterZen, Frase, etc.]
  • A passion for building content marketing frameworks.

Candidate Experience:

We want you to enjoy every encounter working at, starting from the moment you apply to become a VECian. 

In line with that, here is what the application process looks like: 
  • Once you complete the application form and hit send, you will receive an acknowledgment email. 
  • Next, you will receive another email to complete a short skills assessment. If you don’t get this email, you will receive one informing you that you didn't proceed to the skills assessment round. 
  • Ace the assessment, and you’ll proceed to have a quick call focused on culture-add. Yes, as much as we crave exceptional talent, we would trade that for people who will add and advance VEC’s culture. As they say, culture eats strategy and execution for breakfast.
  • If all are good and we think you will add to our culture, you will proceed to do a paid assignment. Typically, we will assign you a keyword/content idea for you to strategize and craft a story-driven, product-led content piece. 
  • Perform well on the test, and you will have one final call with our Founder & Lead Strategist. 
  • If we (that is you, then us) still like what we see, you’ll get an offer letter. 

Typically, the entire process should take 1-2 months from when you send in your application. It could be faster though, but we allow for sufficient time, so you and us can make a good decision since we want and hope for a long-term working relationship.
