Types of Services: Cardiac Telemetry Unit sees a lot of respiratory, renal, trachs, pegs, and wound care – strong cardiac focus
Will Accept Pending license: Yes
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4:1
Monthly Department Volume: 300 per month
Turnover Rate for Dept.: 2-3 days
Skills from other units that they feel will prepare the candidate for their unit: Behavioral experience
Culture/Management Style: The manager is very involved in staff development and a lot of nurses move from this unit to cardiac specialized units like cath lab/ OR, and ICU, a strong relationship between nurses and doctors, a good peer-to-peer culture of inclusion. The director does a good job of developing her staff.
Strong commitment to continuous education and self-development. Unit Based council, shared
governance councils – lots of celebrations and activities.
Culture of the facility/ unit: Strong relationship between nurses and doctors, great leadership director is
very involved, nurses are part of unit-based councils, self-scheduling, and several staff have been on the unit for 20+
years.

Facility: CJW Medical Center

Orientation Schedule: 3 days per week for 8 weeks
Shift: Mixed shifts – 7a-7p (2 weeks) and 7p-7a (2 weeks) per month
Compensation Details (Salary, Sign-on, Relo Asst. Shift diff, benefits, etc.):
Based upon YOE(years of experience): $24.82(min) $31.03(mid) $37.24(max)
Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus based upon years of experience with a 2-year commitment. Paid out in 2nd or 3rd check.
Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.



Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
● Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from a school of professional nursing (required)
● BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
Licensure/Certifications:
● Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)
● American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
● ACLS and PALS certification (preferred)
● TNCC (preferred)
Experience:
● 1 year of nursing experience, ideally in an acute care ER environment (preferred)
Hours:
● Full-Time
● 12-hour shifts, Days from 7 am to 7 pm, Nights from 7 pm to 7 am
● Weekend & Holiday Rotations
