As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital. While providing clinical and administrative support on the unit, you will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient’s needs. You will also coordinate unit activities and assure accountability of all assigned tasks.
- You will instruct and educate patients and family members.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
● Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
● BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
● Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or a current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
● American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
EXPERIENCE:
● Will cross train 1-year hospital experience - at least Med Surg
