A new Mobile Kitchen Concept is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper to assist an experienced chef with daily kitchen tasks. The ideal candidate will help speed up the workflow by handling prep work, grocery shopping, and other kitchen chores. This position is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain valuable kitchen experience and work closely with a professional chef.
This role is open to both male and female candidates, and we particularly encourage individuals from the healthcare industry to apply. Ideally suited for a Student for sure. Being fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, or Urdu is considered an asset, as our team values diversity and clear communication. Any other language is an asset as well and depends upon work requirements received as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with grocery shopping and ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
Help with vegetable cutting, cleaning, and other food preparation tasks.
Prepare basic ingredients and assist with mise en place before the chef begins cooking.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Perform general kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, organizing utensils, and cleaning surfaces.
Follow safety and hygiene protocols to ensure food is handled safely.

Requirements
- No prior experience necessary, but previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus.
- One should be willing to learn even though you do not have any previous work experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for food, cooking and follow instructions.
- Fluency in English, Punjabi, Hindi, or Urdu is an asset but not mandatory.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods of time. (max could go upto 4hrs at times)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends and evenings.
- If you drive it is an asset. Since we primarily operate from Brampton we could provide you a drop facility.
- You may still need to arrange your transportation (public or private) to visit the work location. If possible we may pick you while starting our work but its not guaranteed.
- Our initial service areas are in and around 10km of Brampton but as we expand the circle of radius might increase.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in the healthcare industry is considered a plus although not necessary
- Candidates who are comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
