We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Tutor to help aspiring pharmacy professionals prepare for the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Evaluating Exam, Qualifying Exam (MCQ), and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Key Responsibilities:
- Exam Preparation:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons for the PEBC exams (Evaluating Exam, MCQ, and OSCE).
- Guide students in understanding Canadian pharmacy standards, ethics, and regulations.
- Provide targeted strategies for mastering complex topics, including pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, and clinical pharmacy.
- Customized Tutoring:
- Assess each student’s strengths and weaknesses to tailor lesson plans to their needs.
- Offer individual and group sessions using an online training platform.
- Design mock exams and OSCE simulations to replicate real testing environments.
- Content Development:
- Create study materials, including slides, notes, and quizzes, aligned with PEBC guidelines.
- Recommend high-quality resources for additional study and practice.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in PEBC exam content and format.
- Student Support:
- Provide mentorship and moral support to help students manage stress and stay motivated.
- Offer constructive feedback on assignments, mock exams, and practical scenarios.

Educational Requirements:
- Pharmacy Degree: A Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a recognized institution.
- Licensure: Being a licensed pharmacist in Canada (RPh) or in another recognized jurisdiction.
- Knowledge of Canadian Pharmacy Exams: Familiarity with the structure, content, and expectations of the Evaluating Exam, Qualifying Exam (MCQ), and OSCE, as outlined by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC).
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Pharmacy Exams and their structure.
- Ability to teach and guide students through complex concepts in Evaluating Exam, MCQ, and OSCE.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in online teaching preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Pharmacy Practice Experience: Experience in pharmacy practice (hospital, retail, or clinical settings) is highly beneficial for explaining real-world applications and scenarios.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching or tutoring, especially in pharmacy subjects or related health sciences, is an asset.
Skillset:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Teaching Methodology: Proficiency in creating lesson plans, exam preparation strategies, and customized content for different learners.
